Restaurant recommendations
I would be very interested in any recommendations, Limousin or elsewhere, anywhere that does not just serve tinned green beans / plain pasta / frozen chips with the main course ideally .

Re: Restaurant recommendations
Hi Folks
well Where to start,By the way we have no vested interest in any of the following.
1,Hotel Restaurant Fabry. Pont Du Chambon 19320 St-Merd-Lapleau.
0555 278839 The place to take her and spoil her but take your wallet. Get a window table over looking the Dordogne and take her for a spin along the gorges.
2, Ferme Auberge du Buisson. Le Buisson 19320 Lafage- Sur-Sombre 0555 278386. Again the place to go, you must book as only a small restaurant. Its on a farm and every thing is home grown and cooked by Genevieve. the ambiance will blow your sock off Mind the farm animals when parking!.
3 Le Tacot Bar & Restaurant . Place de l'eglise 19150 Espagnac 0555
936406 . Again you need to book and the food is the bee's knee's if you want/like fish, friday is for you.
4 The Voyageurs Saint Martin la meanne. 0555291153.The lady of the house is a french teacher of english, in fact she speaks better english than me. the food is good and you need to book .
I will post more places to eat later.

Well girl, you must go to some really classy joints! The finest resto in the Creuse and I have never seen a green bean or a chip, and any pasta is most certainly not plain. http://www.laubergedelavallee.fr/ I have no association with this restaurant other than having been under the most expert tutelage of Chef Sebastien during three of his Cours de Cuisine. Unfortunately misses, you may be hard pressed to find a vegi option.
Re: Restaurant recommendations
We like this restaurant:
http://www.restaurant-leviaduc.com/en/index.php
and
http://www.restaurant-coqdor-23.com/
Both in the Creuse. Le Viaduc does an excellent priced dejeuner menu. Never been to Coq D'Or lunchtimes, only evenings.
If you are ever in the Indre, try Marie's Bar. opposite the Mairie and parking at Neuvy St Sepulchre midday, 12€ for an excellent 4 course meal with red wine, 50c for a coffee after. Excellent restored basilique to view as well.

Re: Restaurant recommendations
THank you to everyone that took the time to reply , there are some nice looking suggestions there and certainly a few I was not aware of. Next step is to persuade them to make me something vegetarian But at least I have a selection to propose to visitors as it is hard for me to recommend anywhere, my experience being limited to omelette availability
Any more suggestions welcome
Thank you
