Update - Thanks for replies. We looked at all options and decided to check out the E.LECLERC L'Auto offers this month. Found just what we were looking for. Could have had (used)display model but opted to order new one which should be here soon. So far so good.......K

Our new life brings with us a whole new load of priorities!  We've got the 4 x 4 with a tow bar in readiness for being able to get out and about in the winter and now we need a trailer....................never had one before, so help please!  Looking for something not too big and one that we could go and collect our logs (which we need) in, so preferably with sides (removable) and tippable(?).  We are in Les Charbonniers, 19320 St Merd de Lapleau.  Thanks.  K.

Just some advice. Trailers over a certain weight need to be registered in France. They would have a separate Carte Gris.

I think it is over 500kg but am far from certain and also unsure if this is the weight of the load or trailer plus load.

If you only need a small trailer, we bought ours on a recommendation from our French friend.
It's a tipping trailer, 750kg, the back hooks off for loading long lengths of timber etc., all aluminium,
and it cost us 540 euros brand new from Limagri Moreau Saint Leonard de Noblat. He even did the registration
paperwork for us.
