THere have been a few articles about this in the paper of late, it seems thatthe price of fruit and veg is up 17 per cent on the same time last year so more and more people are opting for pick your own as a cheaper option.  This is the first year we have not grown anything and I have to say we really regret it and are missing fresh produce straight from the garden

I get to pick my own each and every week when the love of my life sends me to the supermarket on a monday afternoon on the 10% off day. We also have the polytunnel and a compost heap for growing our own.

There's also a good PYO fruit farm at Tersannnes, just north of Le Dorat and Magnac Laval. They do all sorts of fruit, including some varieties of apple which are less commonly available in the shops, and I think more tasty as they are more acidic than, for instance, the ubiquitous Golden Delicious.
