Post by noodles Sun Aug 18, 2013 5:08 pm

I have a new laptop with windows 8 installed. We are not bonding Evil or Very Mad   I regularly swap between a mac and pc and am used to swapping operating systems. Comments/ thoughts from any other windows 8 users appreciated. I am considering installing windows 7 but am worried about the  guarantee issues.

I have Windows 8 RT on my Surface tablet and I agree it's not easy to get used to as it's so different. The only suggestion I have is go "cold turkey". The more you swap back to Windows 7 the harder it will be to get used to 8.

Windows 8 help Empty windows 8

Post by adrian16uk Sun Aug 25, 2013 12:28 pm

hi, i'm getting used to windows 8 myselfand the real big sifferebce is all the contents of your computer are in picogrammes and not a vertical list. when you get used to that you're half way there. what took me the longest is to actually turn the machine off. on alaptop this is achieved by sliding your finger from the edge r.h.s towards centre in the left of the screen will appear function buttons will appear here you can access control panel etc.
i hope this helps you
