Lots of plane activity today
Hi. This lunchtime, I saw 4 planes in what looked like formation, but travelling very high, could just see the vapour trails, all heading south west. This evening I have just seen another 4 not in any formation, but heading roughly the same direction, agin, I could just see vapour trails.
Whats springs to mind is Syria. Ive never seen this before, maybe its a usual occurrence, or just because its such a clear day.
Can anyone shed any light on this. Is it nothing?

Re: Lots of plane activity today
I am half way between Limoges and Gueret and I live under plane alley.. always very high but lots of them. Never seen any in formation though. Been working indoors today so I haven't seen anything myself.
Perhaps it was more military stuff being moved to Cyprus in case the wheel comes off when the US have their go at Syria. Apparently it is less than 100 miles. The RAF sent several fighter jets there last week.
I think whatever attack is made it will be low risk stuff such as cruise missiles launched from subs or ships... I can't imagine the US will want to risk planes.
At least the UK is out of it... doesn't mean we might not get some flack from whatever happens though.

Strange you should mention this. We were returning home from the Auberge des Pecheurs at La Celle Dunoise when a jet shot overhead. This was probably around 11pm, which at the time we both thought rather unusual.

Hope it's nothing got to do with geo-engineering/chem trails???
A friend of mine in the Netherlands posted some pictures of clouds on FB, as she does a lot, a couple of days ago, which looked a bit suspicious to me...

Re: Lots of plane activity today
Ok, Im worried now.
Ive just seen an old bi-plane, and what looked to my uneducated eye like a Spitfire going overhead in the same direction. I assume this is the UK's contribution to the Syria crisis??

Hi Simmo Here
Don't panic Mr Mannering! my french Paratrooper mate says it's the Autume exerise's or silly season to us military types, normal routine stuff just like most NATO countries have. Those were the days!. If you want to see a jet Fighter bomber up close and mean, go and stand on any of the Hydro dams in the Dordogne gorges when the are practicing Dam buster raid's. It's even more impressive at night when they fire up the afterburners on the clime out you can feel the heat.Remember to wear ear defenders and don't take the dog if they are scared by sudden noise and fast moving objects.
Simmo in the Correze. Where the French flyboys are lifting the roof tiles and ratterling the windows.

Re: Lots of plane activity today
Well, you do not have to be a dog to get scared to death by the fighter planes playing their games with their toys around the gorges of the Dordogne and break the sound barrier, oh what fun, it nearly gives me a heart attack! Give me peace and quiet anytime.
Re: Lots of plane activity today
For us it's no worse that when we lived in Norfolk and the RAF flew Jaguars out of Coltishall on a regular basis, or the planes from Lakenheath or Mildenhall flew out over the North Sea on training runs. Pilots and crew have to practice, even if not deployed, so it's just a case of accepting it.
Re: Lots of plane activity today
Well, I am a pacifist and do not see the need of fighter planes at all, whether they are French, Dutch, English, or whatever. In my opinion wars have never solved anything, they just add to problems and I think we could better spend the money on more productive and positive things, such as good healthcare, education, etc.
Re: Lots of plane activity today
I watched it and thought some of it was OK but did not agree with all that was said. Again it links back to Monsanto who I feel are the biggest danger in the world. I find the HAARP clips worrying too though.Myriam wrote:For more information, watch this documentary: "What in the world are they spraying": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C5TFTkblKQ.
As for jets, I love them, and I miss seeing them frquently. The sound and sight of them.
I do not agree with being a pacifist because you would end up in slavery or dead because you would never have a world that did not struggle for power. Pacificism is an idealism that is far away from reality of human behaviour.

Re: Lots of plane activity today
I agree.
You can mind your own business as much as you like, but there will ALWAYS be some nutter who doesnt hold your pacifist ideals who will be happy to slay anyone in his path to gain total control.
Nice idea though, wish it was realistic
Perhaps we should have divided islands. The world is assembled, and John Lennnon's Imagine is played. People with a tear in their eye go to the pacifist island, people who havent go on the 'kick the hell out of each other' island. Im sure that would work.

Pacifist
The divided Islands is a nice thought but that's what they thought about Animal Farm there will always be someone who thinks that they are better than others and the whole cycle is made again, we will all just have to be nice and hope that the issues will be resolved amicably. But as it is all religion related I don't think it will.pogo wrote:I agree.

But anyway after those somber words hope all on the site are well and the coming months are warmer than the previous year.
Cheers
