Well the story goes, we had to register the car! All fine coc received, ct done, time to register, we thought we would kill 2 birds with one stone, we had a tax rebate as well, but had closed one bank acct and no surprise after informing them they paid the money into the closed acct:oops: to get the refund it was in the same office as registering the car, in fact the next desk, anyway took all paperwork, refund 1st, need proof of Id ,out comes the passport and bank statement, no problem could you give us the new details again! All fine 500e paid into our acct, I would like to register the car please, ok, that's the next desk, moved over, lady walks around counter and sits down, how can I help you?  ummm I want to register the car, ok, can I have the paperwork, passed over, edf bill please , no sorry I don't have one of them with me, well I cannot register your car then, I don't know who you are, you could be anyone, but you have just given me a 500e refund, ahhh but that does not mean you are who you say you are.
You just want to punch them sometimes!

As I always say to everyone all ways carry a EDF or other such bill always less than 3 months old and the kitchen sink!. In France when dealing with the powers that be also always expect the un expected. If you also think the French are bad you want to try dealing with the Russian authorities. I had seven years of trying to figure that lot out.
