The New folks in our neck of the woods.
Hi folks
I have to say since the six new Families have moved into our neck of the woods from Paris and Marseille, I have put my garden chair out front to watch the goings on. You can keep your English soap's,( not that i watch them ) but this is much better than watching the Tele. It's a laugh a minute talk about townies these lot take the biscuits.
We have had them
Cutting off childrens fingers while gardening, Samu call out.
Digging up the water main with a digger, Contractors called out.
Digging up each others power cables with diggers, EDF called outs
Falling out over whose tree's they can/carn't cut down.
Digging up public rights of way or blocking them, local walkers jarred off
falling out over noise of diggers.
digging up wrong fosse septic.
riding on roads with unlicsened and uninsured scramble bikes Gandarmes now patrolling area.
We have never seen so much of Madam Marie or other services in the eight years we have been here and
these townies are only using them for holiday homes. we sit with a bemused look on our face and Madam Marie is well and truly you know what with them.Still its really entertaining and as one of them stuffed his screwdriver into his EDF box the other evening, i was confident that with my emergancy services numbers and paramedic's first aid kit along with the better half being an Ex A&E sister and me a trained ex military paramedic . we would be able to cope.
Simmo in a very exciting Correze waiting for the next call out.
