Hi Myriam.
How does your garden grow?.However the main thing was if you are opening a little eaterie, Sue and i would be up (or should i say down) for a meal and a meet with all the forum folk. So add us to the list and keep us posted.

Hi Myriam - were are you based? We'd like to come over but it might be too far for us.
Re: Myriam's message.
I think Myriam is quite busy at the minute but she lives in South Correze, Argentat way

I forgot to add that work permitting etc. we would love to join in and put a few faces to names. I could put a link to Myriam's place but did not want to break any forum rules.

Re: Myriam's message.
Hi folks,
Noodles is right, quite busy at the moment. That's why I only saw this thread a minute ago.
Don't know if I can put the original post on here (it was on the other place), but from the number of replies, it looks as though quite a few of you could be interested to meet up some time in real life. That would be great!
It will not be for a couple of months at least, as it's high season at the B&B and there's also work, the veggie plot and we cook for our neighbour ...
Will keep you posted. We're not far from Argentat.

I'm sure W & W have many talents they can put into play.
We're trying to get a small restaurant licence. If we succeed, I would like all of us to get together in the not too distant future and make the virtual contacts more personal for anyone who wishes to have a nice get-together. Watch the other "space"... Maybe we could just have a "private party" in the meantime where everyone brings a little snack or bottle? We can seat about 25 of us.

Re: Myriam's message.
As the grues were flying this evening, I thought the time has come to have a get-together in the near future, before it gets too cold to travel. I propose the following dates:-
Friday 18th October or Saturday 19th October
Evening get-together from 17:00 - 21:30 hours.
If everyone brings something to eat and/or to drink, it can be free of charge. We will provide the wood for the fire to keep us warm and to inspire any (tall) stories to be told.
Please let me know your preference of the two dates and whether you will be coming along, and if so, with how many.
If the above two dates are not convenient, we can arrange another date, but with the risk of snow, etc.
We can accommodate people to sleep if they so want, for a reduced friendly tariff.
If we are to meet on the 18th or the 19th, please respond asap.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
Kind regards,
Myriam

Re: Myriam's message.
Would love to come but it's just a bit too far and I am doggy sitting for a friend so obviously couldn't stay overnight.
Hope others can take you up on your kind offer.

Re: Myriam's message.
Hi Myriam - I haven't logged on for a couple of days and now I see your message. I'm guessing me and Tim are quite near to where you live so we'd love to come and meet up with other members. Friday or Saturday 19th or 20th are ok for us, so like Simmo, let us know and we'll cook something up and bring it along. This is going to sound cheeky, but, depending upon how far away you are, are dogs invited and, if so, we could then stay the night and have a drink.............As I read this it sounds terribly rude, but, I'm thinking "french style" where the dogs seem to go everywhere! I will not be offended at all if you say No! Many thanks. Karen & Tim.

Re: Myriam's message.
Hi Myriam - I did, of course, mean Friday 18th or Saturday 19th. However, I have just been told that Brive rugby's European cup game against Newcastle is Saturday 19th, therefore, I would be torn if you go for the Saturday date!!! Will await with bated breath as I'm sure you will let us know soon which date you want to go for.............thanks in ant. K.

Re: Myriam's message.
Hi Myriam - what a kind invitation, thankyou! However, I fear we are too far away, which is a shame as we'd have love to come along and meet everyone... Hope you all have a great evening.
Re: Myriam's message.
Sorry Myriam - we have had to get our tickets for the rugby so can only make Friday. Really hope that we can meet up as I find myself forming a picture of what everyone is like based on things they have said etc and it would be lovely to put names to faces.
By the way - saw the Bio shop opposite the station (in Tulle) today so thanks for that and we will make a visit on our next venture to Tulle.
thanks. K.

Hi Myriam, just wondering if we are meeting up this weekend? I haven't seen anything else mentioned so I hope you don't mind me asking. I realise that you must be very busy. Thanks in ant. K & T.

Re: Myriam's message.
As there have only been two persons who indicated they would come along (one for the Friday and one for the Saturday), I have no choice but to cancel the get-together. It's a shame, but maybe October is not such a good month for people??? Perhaps you're all apple-picking and cider-making ?
How do you all feel about a meet-up in springtime? Or just tell me you're not at all interested, if that's the case...

Oh dear. I'm returning from UK LATE on 19th so won't be able to make it. What a shame. Hopefully next time. Hope you all have fun.

Just a bit too far ime afraid, although bissybombom lives in the next village to me ,but as i have animals [perhaps she doesnot ]and it is easier for her ,shame it is not more central ,perhaps next year we can arrange several meeting places or houses in diferant areas so we can all have a chance of a meet up
