Heating oil storage tank.

I have a single skin, 1500 litre oil storage tank and wish to use it. However, I am advised that the rules say the tank should be bunded in case of leakage. This tank was here when I purchased the house and to buy a new bunded tank would cost around £850 if sent over from England. I'm told they are even dearer in France. Does anyone know what the regulations are for France?

When we had our house built, we had to have a double skin tank. Not sure how you would stand if your tank sprung a leak.

Thanks for the information. Our tank has to be external. Have passed details of the sites to our plumber so he can help decide which would be our best option. Leakage from a single skin tank is of concern.
