parsport renewal again
DOWN LOADED SOME INFO 'BUT ON DIAL UP NOT ALL AVAILABLE ,as i understand you need a english bank account for them to take your money [problem after 8 years in france only have a french bank account ]is it possabe to send my passport with the 2 new photoes to my sister in england and get her to do it from england with her account !!and do the new photos need to be sighned or whatever on the back

Hi Red.. as you probably realise, the correct way to do it is via the consulate in Paris, but it is more expensive. If you choose to do it via your sister, I can't see any reason why she shouldn't use her account. As regards photos, the last I heard was that you need new ones but if the appearance is very similar, then you don't need them countersigned.
My info is not up to date so it may have changed in the last three years.
If they send the new one to your sister via courier (as they do here) then tell her to sign your name as it needs to be accepted by the passport holder.

HAS TO GO TO LONDON NOW AND NOT PARIS .AND SEEMS MORE COMPLICATED [WHAT A SUPRISE ]AND NEW PHOTOES SEEM TO BE A MUST ,TYPIC ANGLAIS PROCEEDURE

Have you tried ringing the advice line number shown on the website and asking about payment? It is ridiculous for the U.K. Government to presume that everyone can pay in Sterling when needing to renew from abroad. I don't understand either why they won't accept credit card payments.
However, Red, if you cope with French paperwork the U.K. stuff should be a doddle!
