Dog & house sitting

We have been trying to find someone to do this for a few days at the end of August, but it's impossible! The one person we found is fully booked. Even the kennels we were recommended will not reply to e mail, maybe because they also are so busy! We would have preferred a house sitter to look after the three hooligans...sorry, dogs.....because our electricity supply is so unreliable, switching itself off whenever there's a hint of a storm. This is of course not good for the freezer contents if left off for 24 hours or more..

If we found a reliable person then we could go to UK for the occasional week (necessary because of work) without taking the dogs, one of whom really hates the journey, and also it's so expensive for such a short time.

Can anyone help?
