Anyone else still have butterflies in their gardens ? a lot better to see than cluster flies sunny

Yes, we've had some and some bee type 'things' who have been paying a lot of attention to the ivy flowers in our deciduous hedge. I don't know quite what they are as they look too small for bees but they are certainly enjoying the nectar.

Yes Amber, here too, it's buzzing with bees in the ivy, they're active quite late in the season, but it's been very mild as well. Maybe it's going to bee a long cold winter and they will need a lot of amber nectar to get through it Sleep !

I noticed a few flutterbys on the strawberry flowers this afternoon. The bees are probably Ivy Bees, Colletes hederae, which are quite abundant at this time of year.
