If you need an emergency pharmacy during out-of-hours (and it always happens that you do!), you can either dial 17 or go to www.3237.fr and follow the instructions to find your nearest pharmacy

Just like to add that on Holidays such as New Year's Day an assortment of local pharmacies tend to be open for a couple of hours each throughout the day, which I think is a really good idea.
