Rugby supporters Empty Rugby supporters

I'm fairly new to the Forum and wondered if there were any rugby supporters out there who could share their views? We're in between Brive and Clermont so go to games at both, but still follow our English team (Northampton Saints). Feeling apprehensive about the World Cup - will England even get out of their Group!? But next season in both England and France should be good, with several teams having recruited well.

But is this the sound of a voice crying in the wilderness....?

Sorry, we're just TV supporters. Mrs Two is very keen (can't think why, all those big blokes covered in mud..)
We're quite new to rugby, being totally disillusioned with the tedious boring football. Hope rugby doesn't go the way of the premier league, but maybe it's inevitable, money talks and makes the world go round as they say.
Will it be on BBC or have they sold out to Sky yet?

TV supporters today, match-day fanatics the day after...! I also got disillusioned with Prem football, as it just became a question of who could buy the best (mainly foreign) players. Rugby is a little that way inclined, in France in particular, but the salary cap in England has prevented too much of that and encouraged clubs to develop their own youngsters, and clubs get payments from the RFU if they play 70% English players (which most do). Interesting that the French national team are struggling whereas England do ok (but will probably get stuffed in the World Cup anyway). ITV have got the tv rights so should be all on UK tv, but possible also on French tv if we get satellite problems!

Do you have a near-by Top 14 club? And/or a UK club to follow?
