Oh my God the Rellies are coming!.

Hi Folks
Its That time of year again all the relatives are looking for a sun tan and a cheap holiday with wine. I think i'll go and hid in me garden house in the woods for a while,and if i keep quiet they may not find me.Trouble is our two dogs know were i hide and are likely to give the game away. As we have been here for eight years i cannot use the exscuse (sorry we would love to have you but the place is a building site at the moment) any more.

I can and I do, none of those lead swinging freebooters for us.

I feel your pain. When we moved to Scotland there was a constant stream of them.
However in France we have bought a one bedroom cottage. So no space for them. Shame. Heh.

I told my lot that the Correze was in Belgium.

You mean you gave them your address !! We should have had friends from today for a week but their car is in the garage fir repair and will take up to 2 weeks for the part so an extra week we thought we had lost :-)) hang in there Simmo  

Just offer them a working holiday: six days of work, one day off. Or send them away into the woods to collect some truffles  whilst you have your quiet g&t and a snooze  .

Guess what, after lots of work by the love of my life and myself to make sure our rellies would have a good visit , including arranging a gite for them ,sending route planner for them, getting food in and arranging a BBQ etc etc. They missed the flight. Is it just the Brits who have difficulty getting from A to B or is it a global problem?. God knows how the folks managed in the old days before Planes, on line booking,Motorways and sat nav's.Still they have managed to rebook for tomorrow so all is not lost.

well Good old jet 2 got them on a flight out to france from Manchester the same day, but it was to Nice so they didn't arrive until 8pm that evening. Then they drove back up to the Correze arriving at 4am. I met them at the Payarge on the A89 and escorted them in, What with it being dark and misty, i did not want them wandering round the woods of the Correze looking for us at that time of the morning.
As I stood waiting for them at the automatic payarge the speaker system burst into life and this ladies voice said. Are you O.K do you need any help So after i had screwed myself out of the payarge roof,  i explained the story to her via some hidden mic  system i could not see being 20 mtrs from the auto pay booth,Well she could not stop laughting. Anyway she said if you need any help just give us a shout. At which point they appeared and i lead the lost and founds home for breakfast.

Hi Folks
The rellies have now returned home vi Toulouse to manchester and peace and quiet has returned to our neck of the woods. Really once they arrived they were no Bother so i'm putting the return of peace and quiet down to all the French heading for home this weekend.God help anyone travelling paris way today or tomorrow on the auto routes.
