bicarb soda

Know it was on here some years ago but where in the supermarket can i find it ,want to make gingerbread so ,help please

In Carrefour at Bellac it's near the spices, mixed in with the sea salt!

sodium bicarbonate exactly but more known as you said.
The french name is Bicarbonate de soude or bicarbonate de sodium.
Usualy you can find in any supermarket at the salt shelf or drugstore ( rayon Parapharmacie) in cardboard box or bag.

The salt shelf in any supermarket should have it. I buy it in really big drums, it's brilliant for indigestion and for cleaning things, especially tea stained cups & mugs!

Intermarche in Dun le Palestel stock it in 500g boxes -its with the salt/herb products. I use it all the time to make the Irish soda bread.

Is Bicarb ok to use for cleaning if you have a fosse (chemistry not being one of my strong suits) ?

Bicarb good for most cleaning and safe ,inside fridges cups ,teapots and anywhere else as well as makeing great gingercake
