The wonderful Jane Birkin will be paying homage to her mentor and lover, the late, great, and sorely missed, Serge Forward (Gainsbourg) at the CCYF in La Souterraine on Jeudi 19 décembre à 20h30. Tél. 05 55 63 10 06

I don't know how old you are but I thought everyone would have at least heard of their 1969 UK chart hit 'Je t'aime.....' Made quite an impact at the time due to it being all in french and rather explicit.

She is in fact english and an accomplished actress as well as a singer. She had a 13 year liason with Serge Gainsbourg who I know much less about.

From what i have seen on the french tv on Serges life ,not someone very nice ,includeing his love of very young girls for most of his life ,[and as i didnot know him this is only the french tv view ],so please dont jump on me Sad

I always remember seeing an interview with Jane Birkin & she recalled a conversation that she had with a black cab driver.....
He was taking her from a 'celeb' do & asked who she was as he didn't recognise her, she said I'm the lady that sung je t'aime, do you remember it. He replied "Do I remember it.... I've got 4 bleedin' kids because of that song!!!!" lol! 
It made e laugh so much & I have cleaned the language up a tad for the public forum!!!
