A lovely sight, but they are not likely to survive as there's no food for them yet.

Here too, there are already atalanta's and other butterflies, as well as bumble bees.

Next Sunday it's going to snow...

thank you Myriam , we have a few snowdrops and crocus out and the hyacinths are just popping up we have lots of daisy's and a few dandelions not enough to sustain the butterflies though lets hope the snow doesn't materialize.

Indeed not, it was such beautiful weather today, really enjoyed being in the garden all afternoon preparing the soil and afterwards we wnet to a little bar with terrace looking out over the river Dordogne. Springtime is nearly here  cheers  !

I wish I could believe you, but experience shows that bad weather could still arrive. Only two years ago we had a devastating spring with late frosts that killed all the blossoms resulting in little or no fruit on the trees.

Today we had a short burst of sunshine at lunchtime, but it was hailing by 5.00 pm.  Crying or Very sad

Well, thanks for that, Amber! Here's me wanting to cheer everyone up a bit...

Of course you're right, should not get over-enthusiastic. Last two years late frost and wintery showers. Two years ago we had snow in May  affraid .

Still, I did say "nearly"...
