Cost of installing a new Fosse?
Hi
We are just trying to cost out the renovations on a property we are looking and would like to know if anyone can give me a ballpark figure for the costs involved?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Cost of installing a new Fosse?
Unfortunately the figure will depend entirely on how big is your ballpark. What sort of size fosse? What sort of filtration? Is it a permanent or holiday home? How many bedrooms? Do you want to extend at a latter date?
You may get so many variable answers, it would be a nonsense. Call Russell Waite, he is the man to help you. 05 55 80 00 57 rsw.entreprises@orange.fr www.legrandbourg.com

We paid about 8 000 € to change the Fosse and install 66 meters of drain.
The fosse is 3 000 liter. That's for 4 bedroom after you must add 1 000 l per bedroom.

Re: Cost of installing a new Fosse?
Thanks for the quick replies and sorry to be so vague!!!
First the facts as I know them, the fosse will have to manage a 2 bed farm house and 2 bed Gite.
Now to show my complete ignorance! I had assumed it would be emptied by truck once every few months but reading more since then together very19's kind answer it appears that they have to drain off to a spring/reedbed/soak away. Can you straighten me out on how they work?

Ah just followed your link Le-Dolly to Russell's site where all is revealed. Now I understand why it's impossible top ballpark the cost. Simply be content with the assumption it's going tone expensive!
Many thanks.
