No more piped music in Casino

THis really is music to my ears, although to be fair i have never found half as bigger problem here as in some shops in the UK where I have literally been driven out by the noise

"THE AISLES of Casino supermarkets have fallen silent, victims of financial cut backs.

The measure will save the group money, as it no longer has to pay rights to the Sacem, Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique - See more at: http://www.connexionfrance.com/Casino-supermarkets-stop-instore-music-14901-view-article.html#sthash.NBSEfYlS.dpuf"

Really excellent news, even though they've done it for the wrong reason (i.e. just to save money)!

There were a number of occasions in the UK when I walked out of shops playing loud music, unable to think clearly enough to make a decision about some purchase or other (no exaggeration). B&Q and (God forbid) Asda come to mind, but there were others. I've only had the same reaction once since living here, and that was in a branch of Bricomarche. (By the way, you can silence those enormously irritating little advert TV things they pose down all the brico aisles very easily - the power lead just - accidentally - slips out with a quick tug. You have the power - use it!)
