what veg can I plant this month ?

Help please....Any suggestions as to which veg I can plant now? I haven't got green fingers and have no idea what to do.. space isn't a problem
all suggestions welcome cheers marj

Quick growing stuff like radishes, cut and come again lettuce, perpetual spinach, some cabbage and turnip varieties and broad beans spring to mind.

You might get away with very early (new) varieties, so long as you're happy to eat them salad size. But I stand to be corrected...

Same with some varieties of carrots and peas / mangetout.
Bear in mind my veg gardening knowledge is based on dealing with the Scottish climate so you will see a longer growing season for most things that I'll be used to!

Sprouts, broccoli, leeks, winter salads, and if you can find the right variety, you can sow potatoes for Christmas eating, but best done in a tub.
