Dang Satellite problems Empty Dang Satellite problems

Post by simmo Fri Apr 04, 2014 3:20 pm

Hi Folks
As the better half mentioned in the social section of the forum we have problems with our TV freeview system due to satellite changes. So does anyone know of a satellite engineer in the Correze dept we can contact. It looks like we need a new bigger dish (ground based if possible) and other works, so its time to get the experts in.

Hi man, I see that you have had a surfeit of useless answers on 'that other site', quite honestly serves you right for asking  Very Happy  There are a number of fitters advertising in the free press, maybe worth a call to see which ones will travel to your location. Try here for a start: http://www.thebugle.eu/directory.php#CO Failing that, most of the TV shops have a man in hand for such services, just remember to tell them that you want to point to 28.2º.
Bon courage.

@ Simmo:

Found this article which might be useful in finding out what exactly has changed and although it does not provide a man on the roof so to speak, it may help you in explaining to an artisan what needs to be done to get your favourite programmes back on the box:-

Good luck and please don't take my jokes too seriously  pirat !

Simmo... try this site ... http://www.bigdishsatellite.com/

It has useful info and they do installs etc (he is in Haute Vienne) and I am sure if you give him a ring he will advise you. He installed my dish 9 years ago and it is still working fine.

Hi folks
The satellite engineer got back to me that i had tried to contact, He apolgised said he's been very busy sorting out loads of folks systems with the same problem as mine ( the change to a new Satellite). We have given him our location and he's coming to  sort it for us. He said we should not need a bigger dish, ours just needs realigning. So hopefully in a few days we shall be back up and running. So folks thanks for all your help, will keep you posted of developments
